The Chippewa Valley Film Festival (CVFF) was held at Micon Cinemas Saturday, April 27, 2019. For this year, the festival showcased short films that were no more than twenty minutes in length. The art of the short film is creating compelling images and sound that support an excellent structured plot, all within a few minutes.
This year, the festival received about five hundred entries for the festival. Entries came from local, regional and international filmmakers, student and professional, and include a broad range of genres: drama, comedy, animation, documentary and experimental.
The event was organized into several programs with a question and answer with the attending filmmakers. This year, the festival applied and received a grant from Visit Eau Claire and Wisconsin Arts Board.
For 2021, the CVFF scheduled for April has been rescheduled for
September, 2021.
